I know that it is not exactly a secret, but I absolutely love growing ranunculus. In fact, they may be my favorite flower. I love how luxurious the blooms look. They make me feel like I’m fancy, even though I am the exact opposite of that.
White ranunculus were the only corms that I grew this year. When planning the garden, I was on a tight budget in terms of both money and space. I chose white because I knew that they would “match” whatever else I managed to grow. The plan worked really well, as I’ve been able to make many lovely flower arrangements this spring.
I planted these corms exactly as I always do. In fact, I’m certain there are at least two prior “how to grow ranunculus” posts here on my blog that may be helpful to anyone looking to grow them for the first time. They overwintered in the unheated hoop house without any issue. However, I did have some trouble with some aphids in the beginning of the season.
That’s all for this post. Did you grow ranunculus this season? If you did, I’d love to hear all about it in the comments below! Thanks for reading!
