Over the last few weeks, we’ve been getting a lot of rain. Seriously, several inches everyday. While this is great for plant growth, it can definitely be a little rough on the flowers that are already in bloom. Top heavy plants like the sunflowers have started to topple over, especially. I decided to pick them and make a cut flower arrangement.
Nearly all of my mason jars/vases are missing. I have no idea what happened to them. Anyway, I’m doing something a little different today. This is a wicker basket that I received a gift in. All I did was fill up some styrofoam cups with water, and then place them into the basket. Problem solved!
Finding time in the garden between rain bursts to take pictures was really difficult. The varieties that I’m using for this arrangement are the ‘Pro Cut Gold’ and ‘Pro Cut Brilliance’ types. I really like both of these for their uniform size and color.
I also added some ‘Benary’s Giant Lilac’ zinnias to the arrangement. There really aren’t many colors available in the garden right now, so I was definitely trying to explore different color options.
Last, but not least, I added into some really light pink and lilac colored larkspur blooms. I think this bouquet turned out to be so lovely. Thank you for taking the time to read this! I hope you’re having a wonderful day!
What a bright, cheerful bouquet! I love how full it is with the foliage. Super pretty.
