If you’ve been following along here on the blog, you already know that I was completely obsessed with planting flower bulbs last fall. Most of my investment was in the form of various varieties of Narcissus. Now that spring has finally arrived to my garden, the backyard seems to be absolutely bursting with color. Let’s take a closer look at a few pictures!
Even though the yard is full of color, we’re still waiting very patiently for the tulips to begin opening. Even still, I’ve been really enjoying watching the daffodils and anemones open. My garden totals about 30 ft. x 30 ft. – so my flower beds are actually somewhat small. Intensive planting techniques were essential to make sure I was able to get as many blooms as possible.
Since I’m still not able to donate flowers this year, I have been letting the anemones bloom and enjoying their ornamental value immensely. What do you have blooming in the garden? I’d love to hear all about it in the comments below. I hope that you’re having a wonderful day!
Hyacinths are up, lilacs are blooming, and peonies have buds. I can’t wait to get more things in the ground!
