‘Blushing Beauty’ Tulips: An Unexpected Favorite

In my quest to trial as many new-to-me tulip varieties as possible this year, I knew that I would need to expand my preferences. While I’ve always been a major fan of those big, fluffy double tulips – single tulips have been seriously neglected. Upon seeing the beautiful range of colors of ‘Blushing Beauty’ tulip, I knew it was one that I had to order.

‘Blushing Beauty’ is different from other single tulips, in that it has a lily shape. As you can probably tell from the photos, this means that each petals is much more pointed, rather than round. ‘Blushing Beauty’ tulips are yellow with intense streaks of bubblegum pink that splash each petal. Though these photos were taken on a very cloudy day, they do a fair job at showing the intensity of each color.

Though I have yet to use any of these flowers in arrangements, the plants produced stems that were exceptionally tall. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching these tulips bloom and sway in the spring breeze.

Have you ever grown ‘Blushing Beauty’ tulips before? If so, I’d love to hear more about your experiences in the comment section below. Thank you so much for stopping by the blog!
