Our last few posts have featured daffodil flowers that look surprisingly similar. The last of those is the ‘Double Star’ daffodil. Though the overall color and bloom is very like some other varieties, ‘Double Star’ daffodils do have some very notable characteristics.
Foremost, these blooms are huge. ‘Double Star’ daffodil easily produced the largest flowers in the Narcissus bed and did so in abundance. Since the flowers were so big, I did have some issues with the plants drooping and falling over after one particularly heavy rain.
I was also delighted to find that ‘Double Star’ daffodils are quite fragrant. I’m certain that these will be an excellent addition to the flower donation garden for many seasons to come. Have you ever grown ‘Double Star’ daffodils before? If so, I’d love to hear all about it in the comment. Thank you so much for stopping by the blog!
Wow. These are the most eautiful daffodils I’ve ever seen. Well captured.
