There’s something about the arrival of spring that makes me think of bright, pastel colors. It seems that I’m constantly ordering garden plants in shades of peach and pink. Often overlooked, I really wanted to try growing some more highly saturated colors of tulips this season. ‘Blue Diamond’ double tulips certainly did not disappoint.
The look of ‘Blue Diamond’ tulips can vary quite a bit, depending upon the lighting conditions. Since I took these photos on a cloudy day, mine look very dark and mysterious. When the sun is shining, the color appears to be quite a bit lighter.
Here in my garden, the ‘Blue Diamond’ tulips bloomed very early with great height. I would definitely consider growing this beautiful bloom again in the future. Have you ever grown ‘Blue Diamond’ tulips before? If so, I’d love to hear all about your experiences in the comment section below. Thank you so much for stopping by the blog!
Splendid color and full shape.
