Back when I made my orders for fall bulbs, I knew that I wanted to focus on trialing as many varieties of new-to-me plants as my garden budget would allow. While tulips and daffodils received the most attention, I also planted a few varieties of Dutch iris. The first to bloom of those that I planted is the ‘Miss Saigon’ Dutch iris variety.
So far, ‘Miss Saigon’ Dutch iris appears to be exactly what one would expect from a tall dutch iris. Upon opening, I was delighted to see the bright yellow and true blue flowers. I always love blue flowers in the garden, as there are truly not very many.
As I took photos, I couldn’t resist zooming in extra close in hopes of capturing the unique veining and color. Have you ever grown ‘Miss Saigon’ Dutch iris before? If so, I’d love to hear all about your experiences in the comments below. Thank you so much for stopping by the blog!
