In Bloom: ‘Purple Dance’ Tulips

Though tulip season has long passed here in my garden, I’m still tackling the immense task of making individual posts about each of tulip varieties that I grew this spring. One of the more interesting ones in the garden were these ‘Purple Dance’ tulips. Much like ‘Doll’s Minuet,’ I selected these because of their unique lily shaped petals.

One of the main characteristics that I really liked about ‘Purple Dance’ tulips was their color. They were a very lovely true purple with really nice green streaking. I think the green bits do a really good job of making them look just a little more sophisticated and expensive when used in flower arrangements.

I would definitely consider growing ‘Purple Dance’ tulip again in the future. What do you think? Have you ever grown ‘Purple Dance’ before? If so, I’d love to hear all about your experiences in the comment section below. Thank you so much for visiting the blog!
