Though daffodil season has long passed, I’m still working to update each variety that I grew this year, on the blog. This means that some of the late blooming varieties from the garden have been overlooked. ‘Precocious’ daffodils were one of the latest blooming of the spring narcissus.
In staying with the theme of this season’s trial of Narcissus, ‘Precocious’ daffodils were a very lovely shade of peach-salmon. Though most of the flowers were very uniform, I did have a few which displayed cups that weren’t as ruffled as the others.
Like so many daffodils, ‘Precocious’ flowers will initially open much darker and continue to fade over time in the garden. The flowers pictured above had already been open several days. Still, ‘Precocious’ daffodils were a much welcomed addition to my collection of bulbs. What do you think? Have you ever grown ‘Precocious’ daffodils before? If so, I’d love to hear all about your own experiences in the comment section below. Thanks so much for taking the time to visit the blog!
Oh, these are really pretty!
