I first grew ‘Marshmallow’ ranunculus last season. Though I had only planted a handful of corms, it quickly became one of my absolute favorite flowers. When it began to bloom this year, I was very eager to see whether or not it would prove to be a reliable addition to the cut flower garden.
The characteristic that I always notice first about ‘Marshmallow’ ranunculus are their enormous blooms. Seriously, very few of my other flowers are able to compare. The blooms are also amazingly double, which makes them quite a flower to behold when used in arrangements.
I have long been a major fan of pastel colors in the early spring garden, yet another great attribute of ‘Marshmallow’ ranunculus. Though some of the flowers are a little bit darker pink, most of them are the softest shade of light pink – reminiscent of a classic bubblegum color.
I would love to continue growing ‘Marshmallow’ ranunculus in my small cut flower garden in the future. What do you think? Have you ever grown ‘Marshmallow’ ranunculus? I’d love to hear all about your experiences in the comment section below. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit the blog.
