‘Lion King’ Dutch Iris

In addition to trialing several different types of ranunculus this season, I was very excited to incorporate new Dutch iris plants into my small cutting garden landscape. I was especially excited about the ‘Lion King’ Dutch iris for its unique colors.

As you can see, ‘Lion King’ Dutch iris is a very pretty shade of purple/brown with vibrant yellow falls. The yellow bits become even more dynamic looking when your consider the intense color veining on each of the petals.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to take any photos of ‘Lion King’ Dutch iris growing in the garden because of a late season snow storm. Still, I’m eager to see whether or not these beautiful flowers will perennialize. Have you ever grown ‘Lion King’ Dutch iris before? What did you think? I’d love to hear all about your experiences in the comment section below. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit the blog!
