The last variety of flower to bloom during our small iris trial was the ‘Red Ember’ Dutch iris. After seeing many photos online, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect in terms of color. Though most catalogs show a flower that is on the lighter side, the ‘Red Ember’ Dutch iris that opened here were much dark – a beautiful, rich red-purple hue.
Like so many of the others, ‘Red Ember’ Dutch iris had intense coloration on each fall, with vibrant bursts of yellow. I’m very excited to see whether or not this flower will perennialize in my yard. Have you ever grown ‘Red Ember’ Dutch iris before? What did you think? I’d love to hear all about your experiences in the comment section below. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit the blog. I hope that you’re having a wonderful day!
