In Bloom: Beautiful ‘Zelmira’ Lilies

We’ve had so much rain lately that I’ve really had trouble getting into the garden to take photos. However, when the ‘Zelmira’ lilies started to open, I knew that I couldn’t wait! The ‘Zelmira’ lily is an orienpet hybrid type of lily – meaning that it is a cross between an oriental and trumpet lily. I ordered a small package of 5 bulbs in the spring and have been so eager to see them bloom.

I was initially drawn to ‘Zelmira’ lilies because of their unique peachy-pink color. Now that they’re blooming, I am definitely not disappointed! In addition to being one of the tallest first-year lilies that are growing in my garden, they are also among the most fragrant. I can smell the enchanting fragrance all the way on the other side of my house!

Though plants like lily bulbs can be quite bit of investment, I am so happy to have these growing in the yard. I’m really excited to watch these plants become stronger strong with each passing season. Have you ever grown ‘Zelmira’ lilies before? What did you think? I’d love to hear all about your experiences in comment section below. Thank you so much for visiting the blog!
