In Bloom: ‘Amsterdam’ Gladiolus

So often, the white flowers in my garden go completely overlooked. It’s not that I don’t appreciate their usefulness, but it’s always as if I’m more distracted by something brighter and more showy. Still, these ‘Amsterdam’ gladiolus managed to keep my attention this year while in bloom in the garden.

‘Amsterdam’ gladiolus are a lovely crisp, white flower. Unlike some of the other white flowers that I’ve grown in the garden, the bloom remained clear, even after quite a bit of heavy rain. Furthermore, most of the bugs seemed to leave the plants alone, allowing me to harvest armloads of clean cut flowers.

Have you ever grown ‘Amsterdam’ gladiolus before? What did you think? I’d love to hear all about your experiences in the comment section below. Thank you so much for visiting the blog!
