Imagine my confusion in the garden the ‘Mystic Eyes’ gladiolus first started blooming, lol. This is yet another variety that I didn’t order, yet showed up as a surprise in place of something else. After several years of gardening, I’ve come to expect these mix-ups. In fact, I rather glad it happened this time around, as ‘Mystic Eyes’ gladiolus would quickly become one of my absolute favorites to bloom this summer.
‘Mystic Eyes’ gladiolus open in a very beautiful shade of creamy white, becoming more and more clear as they age. The center of each flower had a gorgeous splash of peachy-coral. In comparing the other glads in my garden, I noticed that the center color is nearly identical to that of the ‘Forte Rosa’ gladiolus. This makes the two an excellent duo for flower arrangements.
Have you ever grown ‘Mystic Eyes’ gladiolus before? What did you think? I’d love to hear all about your experiences in the comment section below! Thank you so much for visiting the blog!
