There’s definitely a time in mid-summer when I feel as if all of the “fancy” flowers start blooming in the garden. Most of the summer flowering bulbs like gladiolus and lilies have a certain elegance about them that makes it a little bit difficult for me to use them in cut flower arrangements. I’m very much a more “relaxed” type of person, who enjoys more casual flowers. Still, I couldn’t resist trying to put these beauties in a vase.
The lisianthus flowers are absolutely gorgeous right now. Pictured above are the ‘Arena III Baby Pink’ lisianthus and the ‘Voyage 2 Deep Rose’ lisianthus – the white flowers are the ‘Amsterdam’ gladiolus.
Though it wasn’t technical at all, I think that this vase came together quite nicely. It just goes to show that even a total novice really can arrange a beautiful jar of flowers! I think the white lily in the center of the vase really looks nice – not to mention – the fragrance!
What do you think? I’d love to know your thoughts down in the comments below. Thanks so much for visiting the blog!
I just love your flower arrangements. That looks like something I’d find in a florist’s shop!
I saw that you are starting to do flower arrangements for sale. My mother lives in Elizabethtown, KY. I wondered how close you are to Etown. I would love to order an arrangement for her.
