MARCH 2022: CUT FLOWER GARDEN UPDATE

After what feels like one of the longest winters ever, I’m so eager to finally get back into the garden! Now that everything has started to grow, let’s take a quick look around at what’s growing.

One of the most important tasks I’ve accomplished this March is taking down the large plastic hoop house. It’s funny how the space looks so much bigger without it. Still, I have several low tunnel hoops in place, should the wear get chilly again.

This season’s tulip bed is one of the things that I’m most excited about. As you can see above, most all of the tulips are up and growing well – with the exception of one very small portion of the bed that was ordered from another supplier.

Above, is a closer look at some of my more “fancy” ranunculus varieties. Many of these are Italian ranunculus, and some even come from the Cloni series. I’m very much looking forward to seeing whether or not the cost really makes a difference in terms of their size and quality.

How’s your spring garden growing? Growing any new varieties of tulips or daffodils? I’d love to hear all about it in the comments below! Thank you so much for stopping by the blog!
