In the Garden: ‘Sorbet’ Split-Corona Daffodils

‘Sorbet’ daffodils are new to me this year. Though I’ve managed to collect quite a few different varieties of what I call “fancy” daffodils, ‘Sorbet’ definitely offers something different. As a split corona type, the center cup has a very unique appearance.

The coloration of each petal in the cup is one of my favorite attributes of this flower. Though it’s hard to see in photos, there’s a very intricate blend of white and a yellowish orange. This gives each bloom the illusion of a pinwheel shape from a distance.

Though quite beautiful, I didn’t seem to notice any fragrance from these beauties. What do you think about them? Have you ever grow ‘Sorbet’ daffodils before? I’d love to hear all about your experiences in the comment section below. Thank you so much for visiting the blog!
