If you’ve been following along in my “big daffodil adventure” over the last couple seasons, you already know that it is seldom that I select yellow flowers to grow. Don’t get me wrong – yellow flowers are beautiful. However, it’s just a matter of personal preference. When I saw ‘Delibes’ daffodils in an online catalog, I knew I needed to order some!
‘Delibes’ daffodils produce large inner cups that fade from deep orange to yellow. In addition to being prominent in bouquet work, this delightful contrast is also very noticeable in the garden. I absolutely loved this added curb appeal in the yard.
In addition to their vibrancy, ‘Delibes’ daffodil also had a very faint scent. Overall, I’m quite glad to have added this variety to the garden this year. What do you think? Have you ever grown ‘Delibes’ daffodil before? I’d love to hear all about your experiences in the comment section below. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit the blog. I hope that you’re having a wonderful day!
Two years ago I received an order of Delibes in error and was so very happy with this mistake!! They are gorgeous; so gorgeous that I put in another order last spring and they are blooming now in 3 places in my yard. Sturdy and noticeable from a distance, and gorgeous in a bouquet; one of my favorites!!
