In Bloom: ‘Avant Garde’ Double Tulips

When it comes to planting fall bulbs, tulips are my kryptonite – I just can’t get enough of them! ‘Avant Garde’ tulips are a new addition to my cut flower garden this year, and I could not be more pleased!

Like most double tulips, ‘Avant Garde’ produces large peony-like blooms. Their coloration is also quite lovely. Rather than a traditional true white color, ‘Avant Garde’ is beautiful creamy shade.

‘Avant Garde’ tulips are also quite fragrant. Though many of the early tulips in my yard don’t have any scent, I was happy to find that these quickly filled the air with sweet smells as soon as they began to open. Fantastic!

Have you ever grown ‘Avant Garde’ tulips before? If so, I’d love to hear all about your experiences down in the comment section below. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit the blog! I hope that you’re having a beautiful day!
