‘ProCut Brilliance’ sunflowers have long been one of my favorite varieties within the ProCut series. With their dark center and buttery-yellow petals, ‘Brilliance’ truly is what I imagine to be a classic garden flower.
‘ProCut Brilliance’ sunflower normally reach a height of about 4 ft. In this year’s garden, mine were quite a bit shorter. This is most likely because I was so late getting them planted into the ground, leaving them a bit stunted in their seed starting trays.
Still, each flower ranged in size from about 4-6 in. across. For me, this is the perfect size for use in arrangements and vases.
Like other ProCut varieties, ‘Brilliance’ is pollenless. Though they won’t produce seeds unless crossed with another type in the garden, pollen-free sunflowers are ideal for the cutting garden.
As they are also day-neutral, ‘ProCut Brilliance’ sunflowers provide for a quick turn around, blooming in as little as 45-60 days from planting.
What do you think? Have you ever grown ‘ProCut Brilliance’ sunflowers in your own garden? I’d love to hear all about your experiences in the comment section below. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit the blog. I hope that you’re having a great day!
