In Bloom: ‘ProCut Bicolor’ Sunflowers

For whatever reason, I’ve never had much interest in bicolor or darker colored sunflowers. I think this may have something to do with their association with the end of summer. Nonetheless, I wanted to plant a few varieties to see what I really thought.

‘ProCut Bicolor’ sunflowers are a beautiful addition to the ProCut series. As you can see from the photos, each plant is delightfully uniform – opening to reveal a lovely combination of buttery yellow and dark burgundy.

Despite their traditional affiliation with fall, ‘ProCut Bicolor’ sunflowers were among the very first to open from a spring planting.

Like all varieties within the series, ‘ProCut Bicolor’ sunflowers are pollenless and day-neutral. This makes planting them in the cutting garden super easy.

What do you think? Have you ever grown ‘ProCut Bicolor’ sunflower before? I’d love to hear all about your experiences down in the comment section below. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit the blog! I hope that you’re having a great day!
