Though my gladiolus trial didn’t quite go as anticipated, there were some really gorgeous varieties. Though I hadn’t ordered it, it appears that the ‘Gerona’ gladiolus made an unexpected appearance in my flower patch. I was not disappointed!
‘Gerona’ gladiolus are a frilly little number. With shades of pastel yellow and salmon-pink, I think most would be hard pressed to find a creamier color palette.
Like other gladiolus, these put on an impressive display in the garden. In direct light, the colors are immensely vibrant, and are sure to catch the attention of growers. The hummingbirds seemed to really love them, too!
I’m really excited to grow ‘Gerona’ gladiolus again in the future. What do you think? Have you ever tried this type? I’d love to hear all about your experiences in the comments below. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit the blog, it really means a lot to me!
I’ve never grown them, but they are gorgeous!
