Winter Sowing Flowers – The Final Results
Hi Lovelies! Well, the results are in. I’m officially done winter sowing for the year, and I’m here to give a somewhat full report on what happened! This post won’t have any pictures, but hopefully, it will be filled with helpful information. If you’re not familiar with winter sowing (I totally suggest you research more about it!), it’s a method of seed starting flowers and vegetables that requires minimal equipment. You can read more about prepping containers by clicking on this sentence! I don’t have access to a “grow room”, greenhouse, or even grow lights. As you can imagine, the idea of starting thousands of seeds is simply not one…

Propagating Scented Geraniums (Pelargoniums) by Cuttings
Hi Lovelies, I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a total novice at this whole “plant propagation” thing. But, now that I’ve been successful with scented geraniums (pelargoniums), I feel like I’m at least allowed to share my experience with taking and rooting cuttings for the first time. The good news is that I made a video showing the whole process! The bad news is, that in the process of taking the video, I almost completely forgot to take all of the pictures that I needed! One of these days, I think I’ll finally get the hang of this “social media” stuff – but until then, I’m trying my…

Growing Parrot Tulips
Hi Lovelies, Just thought I would quickly share my experiences growing parrot tulips for the first time this year. Parrot tulips are just as easy to grow as the “normal” tulips that you see growing in people’s front yards, but they definitely look quite unique. This year I planted two different types – salmon and apricot, however, I’ll admit that I’m not sure which is which since I mixed the two bags together. For whatever reason, parrot tulips seem to get varied reviews – some people love them and some people hate them. Here are some photos from around the garden. Hope you’re having an amazing day!

Over the Past Week – Bouquets and More
Hi Lovelies, I honestly don’t know when the last time that I updated the ole’ blog was, but it legitimately feels like it has been way too long! I’ve been busy trying to take dahlia cuttings and generally getting myself together so that I’ll actually be ready when it comes time to plant things. I thought it might be fun, or at least entertaining, to take a look at some of the projects that I got myself into over the past week. Hope you’re having a really great day! 🙂
