  • In Bloom: Voyage 2 Pink Lisianthus in the Cut Flower Garden

Voyage 2 Pink lisianthus are yet another new-to-me flower that I grew this year. Now that they’re in full bloom, I wanted to take the opportunity  to  show  you! These pink lisianthus look so absolutely dreamy blooming in the garden. Though many people grow these beauties in a tunnel, mine have just been grown out in the open in my yard. As it turns out, this worked really well! Aside from the unbelievable pressure from the weeds, I’ve really enjoyed growing lisianthus successfully. Voyage 2 Pink start really pale pink in color and slowly develop a deeper color as time passes. The ruffled appearance of Voyage 2 has quickly become…

  • In Bloom: Voyage 2 Light Apricot Lisianthus in the Cut Flower Garden

Growing lisianthus has always been a major source of frustration for me. But this year, I was finally able to make some progress in a good direction. This year, I grew two types of lisianthus in the Voyage 2 series. This Voyage 2 Light Apricot is especially beautiful. The process of collecting the photos for those type of posts throughout the season is time-consuming. Anyhow, I thought we could take a quick look at what’s going on in the garden – things are growing like crazy! I love it! I’m starting to think that my cat is really annoyed that I haven’t been pulling the grass out of the garden. It’s…

  • Updates – Sweet Peas, Lisianthus, Catmint, and Planting Time

Hi Lovelies, I hope that everyone is doing quite well. I’ve been on the road to recovery for the past week after a quick visit to the emergency room, yuck! With this, I’ve been away from the flowers and so much has gone on without me. Though I’m technically still supposed to be on bed rest, I’ve been slowly making my way around and cutting a few stems here and there. It’s always amazing how much just a little color can cheer me up! The calla lilies are still totally rocking, though the japanese beetles have finally arrived, which means their glory with be short lived and will be absolutely…
